Mac OS X Leopard nearing ‘final candidate’

Everyday there seems to be a new Leopard rumor. MacNN is reporting that Apple is nearing completion of Mac OS X Leopard, and is only one or two builds away from reaching ‘final candidate’ stage which can be pressed and packaged.

Just this weekend I reported that June seems like the best bet for Leopard’s release. But, since it only takes Apple 3-4 weeks to press and package releases, a May release might be possible…provided this rumor is true.

Could Apple be planning a preview of Leopard at NAB on April 15 and launch in May? Will the secret features Jobs promised be a 3D interface?

What do you think?
