Are you bothered by the length of your earphone cable? Wish you could shorten it? You don’t have to risk ruining its integrity by cutting it and splicing it back together.
In his video you can see how to tie a Monkey Fist knot which can be used to shorten your headphone cable.
When tying the knot it’s important that you don’t pull it too tight as you might damage your earphone’s cable. Otherwise, if done carefully and correctly it shouldn’t pose any danger to them.

Looks simple, of course Thermodynamics and Jet Propulsion Systems is child’s play to me. Difficult to do and would probably damage the cord.
