All of you PC users that were jealous of TextExpander on the Mac can stop whining.

Lifehacker has released an update to Texter for Windows. It lacks some of the “wiz bang” features that TextExpander offers but it’s still worth having as it’ll save you a lot of keystrokes throughout the day.

Texter’s major fix adds compatibility across all Windows platforms, including Vista, so if you gave Texter a try last week but didn’t have much luck, second time should (hopefully) be the charm. Add to that support for date and time variables and you’ve got yourself a saucy new release of a sassy text replacement application.
