Ollie Whitehouse, an architect at Symantec’s advanced threats research team, found that Hackers can exploit Windows Vista’s User Account Control to hide malware, reports PC World.
Windows Vista’s User Account Control (UAC), a system that Microsoft says makes the new operating system safer from attack, can be spoofed and shouldn’t be completely trusted, a Symantec researcher said on Wednesday.
Whitehouse reported the problem to Microsoft but the company brushed him off. How come I’m not surprised. Vista is infallible in Microsoft’s eyes.

Yes. This is a very concret observation.
A lot of other considerations pushes truly not to chose Vista anyway.
But most people just love new gadgets.
As always (?) MS will win on it’s power-marketing basis.
