An American Apparel outlet and a Reebok store were bombed last week. No, not in real life, but in SecondLife, an Internet-based virtual world developed by Linden Lab.
A group calling themselves the “Second Life Liberation Army (SLLA,) staged the first online terrorist attack. The group is calling for the “establishment of basic rights for Second Life Players,” according to the SLLA web site.
Gee, this is getting ridiculous. I tried out SecondLife for a hours and just didn’t see the appeal. Everything about it seems like a poorly veiled attempt to make you pay a lot for virtual items that have absolutely no value. In my mind, even the perceived value is pretty flimsy. Whats the point of buying items you can only use in this virtual world? Why not just talk and meet with people in IRC or by IM.
I say, skip SecondLife and get a FirstLife! What do you think?

If you think the issue is so not relevant, and you believe that the game is not worth your time, why do you write about it? why even bother?
