There are different ways that you can make a document visually appealing. One such way is to use Drop Caps at the beginning of a paragraph. A Drop Cap simply enlarges the first character of a sentence and it is a good way calling attention to the start of a paragraph.
You can easily add drop caps to a document in Word 2007. Click the paragraph that you want to begin with a drop cap. On the Insert tab, within the Text group, click Drop Cap. Select one of the following options:
- In margin
Once you select this option, the first character of your paragraph will appear larger to offset it from the rest of the characters.
