Seems that the once successful Linux company simply couldn’t find a profitable niche. Thankfully Mandriva has been given a second chance with a fresh round of capital. All that is left now is to see Mandriva find its new home place in the market.
With other companies in the Linux realm putting much of its emphasis on the enterprise world, it has been tough for Mandriva to do their thing outside of this area. Education isn’t paying that great and home users are not a profitable when most distros are free to use. Should be interesting to see what Mandriva does with their second chance.
