Creating professional looking illustrations in PowerPoint is a challenge. You can spend a lot of time just trying to create, format and align shapes within your illustration. PowerPoint 2007 introduces SmartArt graphics, which lets you easily add designer-quality illustrations to your presentations.
If you want to re-use diagrams you created in earlier versions of PowerPoint in your PowerPoint 2007 presentations, you can convert them to SmartArt graphics. To convert an existing diagram:
- Open the presentation containing the diagram you want to convert to SmartArt.
- Double click a shape within the diagram. The Diagram Conversion dialog box appears.
- Select the Convert to SmartArt graphic option and then click Convert.
