Clearly Ubuntu is well onto a brand new path is would seem. With Shuttleworth stepping down and allowing a new CEO to take the steering wheel for a bit, there is definitely some substantial changes in the air to be sure. Not entirely sure if Ubuntu taking on more of the enterprise friendly front is going to pay off as they could not have picked a more difficult path, but more power to them.
On the up side, we will be seeing new themes and colors from the brown brand. And honestly, it’s about time. While theme changing is really simple to do, it’s one of those things that leaves people asking why in the world would anyone want a brown desktop in the first place?
I hope this is to become a new age for Ubuntu. One where we see more adoption, better attention to retro-active bugs and maybe, somehow a way for ALL software types to be more available in the long haul.
