Spring has arrived, and that means a return of flies to your yard. I had a huge amount of flies all around my back yard. Whenever I sat down, they would land on me every 5 seconds. Over the winter, when the snow melts it leaves behind a lot of things that flies are attracted to.
- Pet waste
- Decomposing leaves and plant-life
- Dead animals
These items and pretty much anything that stinks has to be removed from your yard to keep the fly population low. Be sure to place these items in a sealed or tied plastic bag. They should also be placed in a sealed garbage can. Just removing a few of these items from your yard can make a tremendous difference.
Note: Do not use any of the fly trapping products they try to sell you at the store. These products only attract more flies to the area.
