Google has added a new feature to its search. There is a function now to allow logged in users to add comments to augment the results:
“Google has unveiled a tool that will allow users to customise and refine their search queries.
The company’s SearchWiki lets users re-order, remove or add specific web search results.
This means the next time they perform the same search, the personalised version will pop up.”
The significance of this for students, for example, is that the search becomes more personalized and can contain comments upon the next query for the same data. It would eliminate the necessity to make separate notes elsewhere and be a significant time saving factor. Kudos to Google… again.
