Joost is a program that allows you to watch many, many television programs on your computer. Joost was made by the creators of Skype and Kazaa. Joost was launched in mid 2007. They have many television networks who they have partnered with within the last few months. For instance MTV, A&E, and VH1. They say they have many more to come.
Joost gives you full control of the television viewing experience. Switch shows, jump forward or find something new. I have used Joost for several months now and I can’t see myself going without it.
Joost is currently in negotiations with FOX networks. They have recently also signed up with Warner Music. The program is based on P2PTV technology and it is expected to deliver near TV resolution images. The quality of Joost is the best for online video streaming.
Joost is currently open in the beta testing stage. It is no longer only invite only so no worries it’s available to everyone. Joost is only available on Windows XP, Vista, and Mac (running on an Intel processor. Hopefully Linux support will be available in the near future for all you Linux users.
