Pamela Meets Peggy on Time

Pamela and Peggy had their scheduled meeting. Perhaps they are better known as Colonel Pamela A. Melroy, commander of the space shuttle Discovery, and Dr. Peggy A. Whitson, the space station commander. Their meeting was in orbit and at approximately seventeen hundred miles an hour.

NASA has described Colonel Melroy’s docking procedure as ‘picture perfect’. Both these commanders are accomplished astronauts, who happen to be women. – Having command responsibilities in the hands of two females says more about girls and science than thousands of lectures. Mention Pamela and Peggy to your daughters and grand-daughters. Encourage them to follow the news. This isn’t about feminism – it is about accomplishment and dreams. And it is about real life.
