jv16 PowerTools 2005

Let’s be realistic, here. Not all software utility suites are created equal. As a matter of fact, some of the programs that we find and use more often than not contain unwanted adware or other annoyances. Heck, even Norton Utilities is not living up to my standards any longer. Alas, things were looking pretty grim and, for quite some time, the once-trusted utilities that I used to swear by are no longer allowed on my PC. Guess I have lost faith somewhere down the line.

Well, as luck would have it, I was presented with the opportunity to review a utility suite known as jv16 PowerTools. My initial thoughts were that of reviewing ‘a Norton lookalike.’ However, once I really got into using its tools on my Windows PC, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Unlike so many other programs out there, installation was very speedy and the tools being offered were actually useful.

Features that I found with jv16 Power Tools include:

Registry Cleaner: Designed to scan and repair those little nasties that can pile up in your registry. One thing that I found interesting about the jv16 version is that it will not try to get creative if an accurate repair can not be made. I think it is safe to say that people appreciate this. I know that I sure do.

History Cleaner: Cleaning out your history tends to be one of those things that is put on the back burner. Sure, we mean to get to it eventually. But sometimes our day gets the best of us and we forget to clean it out. Speaking for myself, I have gotten into the habit of letting this automation tool take care of this for me. Simpler than what is already included with Windows, I know that it is being address whether I remember to take care of it or not. nothing quite like having that kind of peace of mind with your privacy.

Software Manager: Don’t you just love it when you go to uninstall a program, only to have the entry remain afterward in the Add/Remove area of your control panel? Yes, it tends to dampen my spirits as well. I have found that I can eliminate these headaches with the Software Manager tool. Helps to clean up any mess left over from Windows after software removal.

Registry Manager: Much like the other registry tools included with jv16 Power Tools, you will be able to manually correct any mistakes that you know that need to be attended to. A very handy thing to have available, indeed.

Privacy Protector: Working in conjunction with the History Cleaner, this tool will work to make sure that your privacy is being maintained at all times. Nothing is done without your approval, though. Once again, major kudos here.

Registry Monitor: Stop trouble before it starts with your system’s registry. Perhaps you simply need to undo a recent registry change. This is the tool to make that happen for you.

In addition to all of that, there are a number of safety features that will be working to keep you from major system trouble. Prevention is job one for this program from what I’ve seen. And if all this does not grab ya, perhaps you should take this into consideration: it includes a free 60-page e-Book to help get you started off right. Also worth note, this program is available on a trial basis for a full 30 days and includes support for multiple languages as well. Speaking for myself, I have been very satisfied with it. Definitely worth checking out.
