Box.net Introduced RSS File Sharing

Box.net, an online file storage and sharing provider, just expanded their file sharing capabilities with RSS, making it possible for their users to automatically share documents, audio files, home movies and so on with their friends, family and coworkers, via RSS.

“Members can upload any type of file to Box.net’s secure servers, then instantly share that file or folder with friends, family, and co-workers through a unique RSS feed.”

“With the opportunities presented by file sharing and syndication, Box.net is working to solve common problems that the average consumer might have with traditional methods of sharing data over the Internet. With an RSS feed of shared files, workgroups can instantaneously be kept up-to-date on document changes, schools can update parents and students on the most recent assignments, and families can share full-sized photos and video clips of baby’s first steps.”
