Cool looking, yes. But how about functionality? You better believe it! Recording function and 256 MBs of memory, this little MP3 player is definitely not lacking any of the needed ‘goodies’ that we have come to expect.
Another feature that really rocks is the ability to directly encode audio to the MP3 format. As stated in the review, one could actually consider using this device PC-Free if they wanted. Nice, very nice indeed!
In the 1980′s, we had tape players. In the 1990′s we were upgraded to the clear crisp sound of the portable CD player. Now in the early 21st century they have all been demoted and almost eliminated by the introduction of the MP3 player. But why?
With digital clarity and the ability of carrying large amounts of your favorite songs in one small tidy package, the consumer can shed the inconvenience and extra weight associated with carrying numerous CD filled with songs that you don’t actually want to listen to. We all know that there are very few CDs on the market that people want to listen to from start to finish, and with the introduction of MP3 compression and CD ripping, the user can now carry only the songs that they really want.
In addition, some or even most new MP3 players are entering the market with FM radio receiving and voice recording capability. If you are tired of the music you have on the MP3 player, you can switch to your local radio broadcast till you upload some new media or if you need to record a voice memo or even a small business conversation, won’t have to carry around a separate recorder.
The Samsung Yepp YP-780V MP3 player I will be reviewing today encompasses all of these features and compresses them into such a small size that you could easily fit two or even three of them into one hand.
