It’s a quick report today. I want to give you a heads-up on some of the upcoming items in Penguin Shell.
First off, it’s been awhile since we’ve done a DIY Friday. I’ve been sorting through your mail this morning, and it looks as though I might be able to pull together another DIY Friday issue in the next few weeks. As always, there’s a standing invitation to let me know if you have questions, comments or improvments on the articles in Penguin Shell. I’ll include as many of these as reasonable space will allow in the next DIY Friday.
Also within the next few weeks, I’ll add the second of the essential Linux books to our online bookshelf. I’ve been spending so much time on other projects the past month or so that I just haven’t had much time for reading. I’ve got another Linux book in hand, and have finally cleared evening time for reading and review. I won’t tell you what that book is, but I will say that, like “The Joy of Linux,” it’s less about nuts and bolts than the driving philosophy of the open source movement in general and Linux in particular. Expect that review somewhere near the end of May.
Now, given the length of the PenguinREPORTs over the past week or so, it seems appropriate to cut you loose to discover, hopefully, more useful stuff for your Linux system.
Have a great Tuesday.
