Sound Card trouble

Lately I have been dealing with sound card trouble. It seems my integrated sound card is no longer working. I honestly didn’t think it would be that big of a deal, but I always listen to music. Working in silence just wasn’t cutting it for me. Luckily, a buddy of mine had an extra card. Its an old Creative Sound Blaster Live card, but it supports 5.1 surround. Now I am in the market for some decent speakers that won’t break the bank. Any recommendations? I don’t need anything real fancy. Comments are always welcome.
