Now that this is public, I wonder how many "new" sign-ups they had this month?
People should vote with their feet and leave ANY ISP that is meddling with ANY traffic. Fine if it's spelled out up front, but to meddle with users data without their knowledge...well I don't know of anyone who would be happy with that situation. Treat customers with disdain? And expect to stay in business?
Sorry to see you go Comcast...NOT!

Comcast is an extremely greedy and ambitious company. No doubt the Board members sit in the Boardroom nicely dressed and very polite, but there are heaving and seething emotions in their breasts. Dominance and control coupled with financial gain and privilege are the motivating factors. In this sort of corporate world of fantasy-made-real, the concepts of generosity, caring about the welfare of others, assistance to young and growing organizations, and even duty to the paying public, these things are non-existent. No, the idea is -- blast all competition out of your way and secure every channel of revenue. Well this antique method of doing business, anachronistic even now, will have to give way eventually to the way of the future, the idea of cooperation, and the sense that there is enough for all, and that all have a right to live and grow. In the meantime Comcast bulls ahead in the manner of the financiers and Robber Barons of the past, locking down every cable outlet in every home while meanwhile choking off the traffic on the exisiting, overloaded lines in preference to supplying new lines and encouraging new technologies. I watch in amazement many days as my Internet connection does things that are not accountable for by ordinary operations glitches, and simply indicate a huge and increasing tendency on the part of Comcast to meddle and experiment with priorities secretly imposed on unsuspecting customers. But meanwhile this proposition is never allowed in the Boardroom: to a customer who is paying a premium rate, give premium service.

I attempted to use this camera with my HP duo core Pavillion Media Center that has been upgraded(?) to Vista Home Premium, and downloaded the Vista x64 drivers directly from their support site; the install fails every time even with clean boot, at best I get partially working program with greyed out features. I managed to get it completely going a couple days ago, checked on it again the next day and was back to not being installed correctly again. I end up with one of two scenarios, the camera will run and show a video on the screen, resolution can be changed from this window, but the controls are greyed out on the software bar. Or the camera windo shows not connected and asks for attempt to connect but it does not work. During install the usual thing to happen is when it asks to plug the camera into the USB, the install routine does not recognize the camera is plugged in, and Vista pops up asking if want to install the drivers for it. If you elect to go with Vista intalling you get an error box that says the install failed. If you cancel out and select skip on the install box you get Congratulations for successful install, but one or more features will not work. This is frustrating. I have spoken to Logitech regarding this, asked to check on some inf files, downloaded one that was missing USB.inf and copied it to the Windows INF folder. Immediately after this is the only time the entire install went smooth and the camer and software worked until the machine was rebooted again. Still no help from Logitech, waiting on further word.............

Go to a family express gas station and get a mio card. no monthly fees!!!!! and u get a STAR debit card instantly for PIN purchases and they send u a Visa in the mail. I have to have a prepaid debit card because i cant get a checking account because my ex girlfriend used my debit card at an ATM and abused the generous Overdraft Honors program my bank had.... over drew my account into -$1000. I refused to pay it and now ChexSystems says I can't get another checking account for 5 years. Sure there are banks that dont use ChexSystems, but most of them are local only banks and their online system does NOT show pending transactions like the big banks do. My mio card does show pending transactions immediately so i know where i used my card. But yeah... prepaid debit cards are the price you sometimes have to pay when u cant get a checking account.

These guys are seriously crooks. On top of the $10 they charge you initially, they bill you $5 every month, starting immediately.
The thing is, they dont start deducting the $5 after a month, they do it automatically on the 5th of every month, regardless of when you bought the card. So if you bought a card on the 4th for $25(+9.99 fee), when you woke up on the 5th you'd have $20 on the card....

The other thing is, if you buy a money pack to replenish a card, they deduct from the moneypack on the 5th AND the card. The moneypack doesnt even have to have been activated. So if you buy a moneypack on the 4th for $25(+ the 4.99 fee) and have $5 on your card, on the 5th if you go to activate your moneypack, you'll have 0 on the card and $20 on your moneypack... before you even activated it.

I really dont know how they get away with it... but it seems like a scam to me. In general I'd say you're much better off buying the single use amex or visa giftcards... at least the fees are upfront.

Get a Free Audio Book

Are you tired of reading books? Me too. Over the years, I developed pulpuslaceratapohobia - and the only known cure for that is Audible. Finally, a way to digest words without actually having to read them. Professional voices are wonderful choices if you love literary works in audio format. Are you ready to read some audio books? Maybe you should just listen to them instead.

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.

Screenshots and Capture Software

Capturing images on your screen is pretty simple, right? But what if you want to do more with them. Then you want to snag a copy of SnagIt. How did you ever get along without screen capture software? This one even integrates with AOL instant messenger and potentially your blog, too! Start your next screen capture the right way - manage it with TechSmith's SnagIt. For Mac OS X, there's Skitch for still shots, and iShowU for videocasting.
