I just bought a load of stuff from ThinkGeek. Among them was the Nerf Maverick, which was really the only toy worth mentioning. The Maverick is a six-shooter style Nerf gun.
So here, in brief-overview fashion, is my review after 30 minutes of partially-continuous use.
Pros:
1. Accurate
2. Doesn’t break when I drop it repeatedly
3. Sometimes the darts stick to the target
4. ThinkGeek made a pretty cool Doom video about it
5. Fun
6. Cheap ($13)
7. Buying two earned me 400 useless Geek Points
8. Puts other ThinkGeek cubicle warfare toys to shame.
Cons:
1. Needs to be cocked before every shot
2. Doesn’t have much range
3. Sometimes the darts don’t stick to the target
4. The stock photo came with a white background and I don’t have a good black backdrop so the thumbnail looks cheap.
Summary:
For the price, you can’t go wrong. It’ll provide you literally minutes of fun and adventure. I give it 200 arbitrary Cool Points and a 90% rating.
