YouTube, everyone knows what it is if they have been on the Internet longer than a few weeks. It is the top Internet video streaming site around. Their links are emailed, forum posted, blogged about, criminals have been caught because they stupidly post video of them committing crimes. What would the Internet be like if YouTube was dead or murdered (to stay with the theme) like Google may be talking about doing. YouTube is not on the chopping block yet, but it is one of the options that is being considered by Google executives. At least that is what they are saing over at webtvwire. Go ahead and click on the the link to see the article and tell me what you think.
What does this mean for Internet and TV personalities that are using YouTube as their media outlet for their video blogs and shows. People like Chris Pirillo, and even Katie Curic? Will there be a substitute that will come in place of YouTube? Will Google sell YouTube at a loss and another company keep it going? I can’t imagine the Internet with YouTube can you?

I don’t think that google will ever give youtube the axe, they get a lot of money from it with ads. But, at the same time, they must get sued a lot. Another problem with youtube is that all the content on the front page is company made and dumb. There are still authentic video creators like chris, but not as many as before.
