Google AdSense can be picky on who they give accounts to.

After signing up here at Lockergnome I followed all the suggestions Chris had made. I signed up for Google AdSense and, I guess I am not worthy. Here is the reply I received:

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your
application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program
criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.

We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the
effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as for our
advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to decline
any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our
program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content.

Please note that we may not be able to respond to inquiries regarding the
specific reasons for our decision. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

So my question is, what does it take to get AdSense, and what are the criteria? Comments and suggestions welcome.

Until the next time,

I’m not sure why you were declined. How long have you had a gmail account? They may have a time restriction. I don’t consider myself special by any means and they gave me a adsense account right away.

Check the pdf file on this web page: http://www.2createawebsite.com/money/google-adsense.html

She wrote a nice little “book” about AdSense…how to approach it, and what it will take to get accepted.

killaken2000: I have had my gmail account since they were first in beta and you had to know someone to get an account. So that is not it.

I was thinking maybe because I applied so early with only one post, they thought there is not going to be any revenue stream for them so why post adsense there.

Just a thought. Thanks mhz, I’ll take a look.
