If you are a follower of the career of Eric Clapton, you certainly know who he was. If you enjoy the songs, Let it Rain, Superstar, or Never Ending Song of Love you know his work. He was a star who shone most brightly through his attachment to others, yet he was no ‘hanger-on’.
Extremely talented, yet very private, he was also out of the limelight for a couple of decades, since the break up of his most famous band, ‘Delaney, Bonnie, and Friends’. Some of those friends included Eric Clapton, Leon Russell, and Dave Mason. Pretty good company, eh?
He will be missed, and remembered.
