‘Meet The Press’ Host Russert Passes

One of the few journalists on television that cut through the garbage of political speak, rather than added to it, Tim Russert died today. He will be missed.
His level of integrity was hard to see immediately, but over time was the thing that made me a big fan. Few know the meaning of the word – he lived by it.
It will be hard for NBC to fill his shoes, as I can think of no one at NBC that inspires the same level of trust as Russert did.
Rest in Peace, and once more for Tim – Go Buffalo!

I loved watching Tim Russert on NBC. I DVR every episode of “Meet the Press” because I am not able to watch it live because I go to church every Sunday morning. It will be interesting to see how Tom Brokaw handles himself tomorrow when he fills in for Tim.
It will also be interesting to see how NBC election coverage over the next 4.5 months will be effected with him not being there.
Rest in peace Tim.

Doug, either it comes on later where you live, or you go to services really early. Here in Ca, it’s on at 8AM, so I don’t even break a sweat getting to morning worship.
I am anxious to see who will take over - I have a feeling it will be David Gregory, but I won’t really like that.
