WalMart Offers Internet Classifieds For All Your Unneeded Goods

Apparently wanting to become a better corporate citizen, and perhaps put some of the peskier sides of its corporate persona out of the limelight, WalMart has launched a free service that looks like a Craigslist on a smaller scale.

The site is available through the company’s website, and charges no fees to either buyer or seller – what could be better?

No corporate reasoning is given in the notice, but it certainly could be that any gains from the sale of goods (or services?) could already be earmarked for something seen on the site, discovered while clicking through to the listings.

Clever. Yes. Win-win? Probably. Cool.
