suing Open Computer-producer Psystar, as the delivered product shows Apple has nothing to fear from these purveyors of trash.

On ZDNet, Adrian Kingsley-Hughes took possession of one of the Open Computer models, and explains the various problems with the unit as delivered. The unit’s fans are on at full speed from the moment the unit is started up, producing a noise described as so loud as to make telephone conversation in the same room next to impossible. The sound does not work properly, and the unit was throwing memory errors left and right.

Is this any way to deliver a product? I don’t think so. It seems as though there won’t be much of an entity to sue once the ‘buyers’ start returning  the poorly conceived, poorly executed, oh - and yes, also poorly packed for shipping, units to the vendor.

This company will be in the red ink pretty deep before Apple gets to the first injunction. It simply won’t be worth the effort, as any sane person will see that real cloning hasn’t happened just yet.
