AVG Releases Free Version 8.0 (on 4/24/08)

Beginning Thursday, Grisoft’s newest product, AVG Free 8.0 will be available, bringing improved virus protection, but also bringing part of the anti-spyware component of its paid sister application.

This will be good for many, as the addition of one interface, one program,  will bring ease of use to many, and an economy of load on the processor and RAM of machines it is run on. This will be especially helpful on the majority of single core machines still being used, no matter what the technorati state.
