Dell Continues Push Into Retail Space

Walmart and Sam’s Club aren’t enough exposure points for Michael Dell it seems, as he is taking the company’s product into big box retailers next. Just announced is the addition of Dell computers to the stable at Best Buy.

The initial rollout is to be at 900 stores - something about that number, it was the same number of stores that Dell rolled its products out from Staples. Perhaps it’s a lucky number for the company.

The news puts the retail presence of the number two computer giant at a bit over 10,000 locations worldwide. Dell has retail presences in the UK, Europe, Singapore, China, and Japan. (Australia is conspicuously missing from the list, as is India - perhaps in the near future)

H-P must be wondering if some retail expansion is needed right now…
