Well, if you were hoping that because of its agreements with Microsoft, it was lawyers who were being laid off, you’ll be disappointed.
In a move of ongoing restructuring, Novell laid off 250 information technology workers, and plans to hire workers in an office in Bangalore, India. This is an effort to slash costs.
Novell had previously projected $35 to $45 million dollars for this restructuring project.
With so many companies moving their development staff to India and other destinations outside the United States, it appears that soon only Intel, Microsoft, AMD, and Google will remain primarily domestic concerns.
