Dell Products Now Offered At Staples

Announced today, Dell products will soon be available at your local Staples store, at least in limited offering. That’s 1400 stores from coast to coast.
The initial products offered will be
Inspiron 1721 and 1521 notebooks;
Inspiron 530 desktops;
Dell 948 and 926 all-in-one inkjet printers;
Dell 1320c laser printer;
Dell SE198WFP 19-inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor;
Dell E228WFP 22-inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor;
And Dell-branded ink and toner.
This is quite a change for the company that made its fortunes on selling direct. With the deal at Staples, along with its offerings at WalMart, a fair amount of its lineup will be available for touching and feeling, before purchase. This is perhaps the reason for these deals, as for many, touching and feeling is important before the purchase, even if the return policy is liberal, and the price a small bit better online.
