Sun Hardware with Microsoft Software?

It’s true.
In a deal just made, Windows Server operating systems will run on Sun x86 hardware, and changes made by Microsoft will allow Solaris and the Windows Server OS to be run on top of each other, with one or both virtualized.
Sun sees this as a good thing because it says that 100% of Sun customers have Windows somewhere in their data centers. Microsoft knows its good, because it further invades the spaces where it was only around in a small, insignificant way.
No news on what this might have to do with any other Sun or Microsoft softwares - you know - like Office suites.
I certainly hope the agreements stop with server software. Microsoft in the Sun Office would be trouble for lots of people.
