Why The Rolling Stones Are Still Relevant Today

10] Because, on their worst day, Jagger and Richards are better songwriters than almost anyone else you can name.
9] Someone has to play songs that don’t rely on samples or stupid sounds not produced from a musical instrument.
8] Who else is gonna play the blues like that, since Stevie Ray and Muddy Waters are gone?
7] Because through chemistry, Keith, no matter what you might think, is going to outlive all of us!
6] With a catalog of hundreds of songs, television ad producers will be kept busy using their material for years to come.
5] They can remember and relate what the ’60s were all about.
4] How many other bands have so many greatest hits that six CDs won’t hold them?
3] What other sexagenarian has twenty-year-old women doing their best to be picked for a night of fun? Yes, we should all do as well as Mick!
2] Because you haven’t gotten any satisfaction since you saw your last honky tonk wom[a]n.
1] Even Bill Gates bowed to the power of the Stones, and needed them to start up Windows 95.
Beyond that - the best reason is one that’s been on the inner sleeves of many of their albums, coined by someone long since forgotten - They are the best damn rock and roll band in the world. Thank you very much.

And let’s not forget that Keith Richards is doing very well for someone old enough to be Dick Clark’s GRANDFATHER ;)
