Yesterday Linchpin Labs in Australia became the first of the little ‘rebel alliance’ against the Empire (Microsoft). With the defeat of their brilliant little program, Atsiv, they vowed to return, and possibly litigate.
The Empire struck back.
Today, from another shore, far far away, comes another warrior in the quest to use the new operating system in the manner we wish, with a secret weapon called the Purple Pill. It was available for a short time, and its description is here.
Now the warrior has disappeared, and his weapon has become unavailable. Has the Death Star been leveled at this new hope?
Time will tell. The word from the rebel alliance is one of hope and renewal. They will return to help us reclaim our desks from the clutches of the Evil Darth Ballmer.
