For those who have more data than they know what to do with,  LaCie is now offering external hard drive systems in capacities of up to 2TB. Yes, that’s T for Tera.

Other new capacities offered are 1TB and 1.5TB, which retail for $350, and $600, while the Big Disk Extreme, the 2TB bad boy, comes in at a retail price of $849.

Each of these have USB 2.0, and Firewire 400 and 800 ports, so speed is not any problem. [if only more motherboards had native Firewire 800].

The drives all have rotational speeds of 7200 rpm, and combined cache of 32MB.
