Once again, a hacker has proven that ‘where there is a will, a way will be found’.
The DRM system that Microsoft uses for windows media files, downloads for the Zune player, and Vongo movie downloads can once again be successfully stripped from the program material.
The program is not new, as FairUse4WM has been around for some time. It has forced Microsoft to go back to the drawing board twice already, and like Clyde Crashcup, the cartoon inventor from long ago, it’s time for another look at the finished product.
Microsoft was apparently unsuccessfully suing the maker of this little gem, known only as Divine Tao, but has given up, as the user appears better at covering his identity than an extra from ‘Enemy of the State’.
Full article here. BTW, FairUse4WM is also available there.
