Just a couple of thoughts on Patch Tuesday [like it was a holiday!].
After the patches are applied, I always reboot, it seems that this is inevitable, but I do it whether or not the system requires it. I then give my most used programs a real workout, as I want to make sure that these patches have caused no harm.
IF you wait, it becomes harder to pinpoint exactly when any problems you discover started, and thus it is harder to know what to suspect.
Good luck, we all need it [maybe after 6 months the svchost.exe bug is finally fixed]. Happy patching!
(It just occurred to me that we go through this each month, fixing broken things, expecting news of things broken, and things fixed kind of like Pavlov’s dog. How screwed up is that?)
