Sony Cuts PS3 By $100

Sony has just cut the price of the PS3 console by $100, down to $500, or only $20 more than the most expensive Xbox 360.
Still more than twice what a Wii costs, it will be interesting to see how much the PS3 sales pick up.

Sun Releases ODF Plug-In for Office

 
Not waiting for Microsoft to lead on this, Sun has released an open source plug-in for the Microsoft Office applications. The plug-in allows correct interchange with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint from Office 2000, Office XP, and Office 2003.
The plug-in doesn’t yet work with Office 2007 applications, which Sun says have a bug in the Microsoft formats.
