We’re Working On It! Huh?

  • No Related Post

If the boatloads of mail I am getting from the Windows Live Writer site are any indication, Microsoft is working feverishly to get this application working, and working well.

The hundreds of messages concerning problems are all getting replies, no matter how trivial. Each problem seems to get someone’s attention, and requests on how to duplicate errors are flying back and forth.

I appreciate this, as I am taking advantage of this ‘free’ application, which has for me, worked well, with only one problem so far. It has not been fixed, but work is progressing.

My thoughts about this are tempered however, by the questions in the back of my mind, nagging. Why such benevolence and work on a, for them anyway, small application? Also, what is the importance of this small application? The only thing I can think of is that it is a good will offering, and possibly an internal program to be used by the programmers as they chronicle the work they do.

For any of you who have a blog, either on a WordPress site or on MSN spaces, it works really well, as long as you don’t try to imbed pictures (they are working on it, and there are workarounds). It has a really nice look, and will make your daily regimen a joy. Give it a try. I think it’s really great, and I usually hate stuff like this (I’m a fan of edlin [g]).
