Firefox VS Safari

The Productive Duo
It seems many people lately, including Chris, are denouncing firefox as a web browser in favor of Safari. Here I shall state the good, and bad of both browsers.
1: Surfing Speed:
I must say for quick site surfing, Safari beats FireFox quite easily. In the fallowing video you can kinda get an idea thou the swapping back and forth does make room for error far as true timing. I didnt notice to much of a diffrence.
2: Plug Ins:
I have been told that Safari does have plug ins, but however only on Mac OS X. I have not done research to prove this or not, but for me it dosnt have the plug ins I need. However Firefox has more then enough, I use rss ticker, cooliris preview, among others for watching youtube vids and checking RSS feeds.
3 : Appearance:
I have to hand it again to Safari, it looks really nice and clean to me. For a fast browser thats what I want and expect.
4 : UI
FireFox beats Safari easily, I like its browser interface a lot more, especially how you can access the plug ins in several ways. However! Safari’s method of handling book marks is much better, being able to search for the book mark and have it pop up saves time scrolling down a list.
When it is all said and done, both are great Browsers, each with there own strong points and weaknesses. Its really up to you to decide which you want to use.

Hey!
So thanks for this post. I have been going back and forth between em trying to find what to use… Never actually found much…
Anyways: got a bit of something to say…
1: Are you talking about plugins or addons? Plugins are like flash player, java etc. and addons are what it seems you are using.
2: With addons you can change the appearance. I am using Aero Fox, very nice appearance thingy addon. I also don’t like the original look for FireFox. HOWEVER I still REALLY like the Safari look.
3: Actually when comparing Firefox to Safari without addons on Firefox, Safari isn’t that much faster. With many addons Safari will win because it has none!
Although I do really like this post. Helps me quite a bit in my struggle to find the ULTIMATE BROWSER! BWAHAHAHA….
Thanks!
