The Pre-Christmas Date

  • No Related Post

The goal is to have a date (for at least a movie) for my birthday, which is in December. Why? Just because it would be nice. Different too. Oddly enough December seems to be when most relationships end or change in a big way for me. I’d stop at saying it’s cursed but it has been a bit unlucky.

I try to meet men. Offline I find people don’t look up from their shoes very often. Online, men just don’t seem to want a real person versus a battery operated toy (or something). I just don’t know all that much about battery operated toys.

Anyway, if you see charming post from a BBW on Craigslist or MatchDoctor or that fish one, take a moment to reflect on the woman behind the post. Women are human too. Don’t ignore us just because it’s the easy way out or just because you’re really a stuck up snob. Be nice and send a reply back, even just a polite ‘No thank you”. I can’t speak for all women but I only bite upon request, formally and with nice penmanship. Spelling counts too.

December is a tricky time to find a new significant other. As shallow as it might seem, a lot of people are thinking, “Man, I don’t know if I’ll even still be interested in this girl/guy, but I have to buy them Christmas presents. Maybe I should just wait till after the new year to find a girl/guy.”

Or else people decide to ditch their girlfriend/boyfriend around Christmas because they don’t it’s not going to last much longer, so why spend the money on presents.

Sad but true. Same thing happens around valentines day.

I hadn’t thought of anything like that. On the bright side then, looking now will weed out people who think that way. A plus for me! I enjoy giving presents on Christmas, birthdays and so on. I don’t expect anything back though it’s nice when someone remembers.
