I am so glad that I did not get caught up in the HD-DVD/ Blu-Ray format wars.  It was just too expensive at the time and you really could not tell the difference between the two formats at all.

Now that Blu-Ray has won, what will happen to the movies released on HD-DVD?  It would seem to me that they would all have to be re released on to the other format.  That would mean two things.  First, you would have to buy the movies you already have in HD-DVD on the other format and, second, you would need a new Blu-Ray player.

This is why it never pays to be an early adopter in anything.  It’s just too expensive in the end.
