Cadillac CTS: It's Not What You Think
Confession time: until earlier this spring, I’d never driven a Cadillac. I had a picture in my mind of how a Cadillac would handle, how I’d feel behind the wheel, and how much gas it would use. After spending a week with a 2009 Cadillac CTS earlier this spring, I have quite a different opinion.
The latest CTS isn’t anything like the gas guzzling old man’s barge I thought it would be …
The ride is tight, the styling is crisp, the cabin is ultra-comfortable and filled with tech goodies. The flat screen navigation system rises from the dash like the obelisk from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001, with state-of-the-art iPod integration and Satellite Radio. When outfitted with the direct-injected V6 engine, the CTS is relatively fast and gets decent gas mileage for a luxury sedan (when driven like a sane person).
With GM’s bankruptcy, there are some huge honkin’ deals out there …
