I would use Time to Call to connect with some distant family and friends in Italy and Australia, which would make them seem a lot less distant! Being able to use the app over WiFi in my home would be wonderful because I wouldn’t have to worry about loosing service, as reception in my area is terrible. The international calling add-ons for cellphone carriers are very pricey, and if you try to use a pay phone it’s almost impossible feed the phone with coins fast enough to keep yourself connected, so the very low price on Time to Call app would be invaluable to me.

This would be fantastic for keeping in touch with my RRPs (Roving Retired Parents). As of today (08/31) I’ve no way to converse with them as they are in Germany. Sure I could call the hotel and pay a wacky expensive fee, but with an iPad for me and one for them things would be smooth sailing, er … talking.

I actually purchased ‘Time to Call’ because I saw Chris review it on the Lockergnome YouTube channel. I have friends and family that live in different countries across the Globe and I don’t like to loose contact. And although at times I may chat with them on FaceBook, I can’t really have an optimal conversation like I can via calling. I’d use Skype, but most of them don’t use Skype and so Calling was always a problem because the costs it incurred on my contract were sky high! Thanks To Chris’ recommendation of Time to Call by Vonage I can now Enjoy a 15 minute conversation with friends and family for just £0.69! Using my contract minutes, a 15 minute call would actually cost me £4.50! One must be crazy not to use Vonage.

Then to finish it off, I went to the Brick Trix channel and subscribed to that in addition to the other two. Too much? No, it’s not like you have to tattoo it on you.

But to the point, the Time to Call app, too, seems like a great tool. I could save money on calls, from Tunisia to Timbuktu. Only $2.99 or less, and it bills directly to iTunes, too? Too cool!

The trend for people these days? Cord cutting. A new trend that I think will be coming? Voice plan cutting. Who needs voice when VOIP services like Vonage makes voice plans obsolete? Although my mum has an iPhone so I could just Skype her, I have found Skype to be unreliable over a 3G connection. Also it is great that it goes through your iTunes account. My only snag would be if it is restricted to US iTunes accounts for download/use. Another great use for this would be if I was travelling in US from UK! Being a college student, saving money is essential for university fees. Yet with me being in a long distance relationship, it doesn’t come cheap! Calling my girlfriend is the first thing I want to do when I wake up in the morning, and the last thing I want to do before I go to sleep. We are just about making it work between us, despite her being in a foreign country, but I believe the Time to Call app would allow us to become stronger as a couple. Simply for the fact that I can speak to my partner for a longer and cheaper time, in a hope of really developing our relationship as a couple.

I am currently tyoing this on my old windows mobile “Smart” ohone. I’m struggleing to even tyioe anything with this useless styles, on this small qwerty keyboard. The screen is even out, and so I have to oress the letter next to the one I want to tyoe, hence the reason I have o’s instead of that of. The letter next to it, of which I cannot tyoe. In fact my friends and family have become custom to this, and now automatically just swao out the o’s for that of the letter next to it. I have even tyoed this out twice now as the not so heloful browser crashes, or the battery falls out of the back due to the celotaoe that holds it there failing.

Olease, save me from the headache that is this ohone and helo me see the glory of modern technology again.

I’d use Time to Call to replace my house phone for sure. POTs is old and expensive, but I have yet to cut it. Time to Call could also be very useful for calling people overseas or in the US because I assume calling via it would have much better rates then most services.

I currently live in the South East of England, and have been looking fruitlessly for a job for the past three years after leaving college. I’ve been through a tough time monetarily and have *just* decided to stop taking antidepressants.

I have a special someone who has guided me through my troubles and has taken so much time to be there for me even though he didn’t have to. Unfortunately he lives across the globe from me in Australia, so our conversations have mostly been restricted to instant messaging and texts. Sure we could use Skype, but he is very busy with work and I may not see/talk to him for days.

If I were to win the iPad 2 (and consequently the Vonage Time to Call App), I’d be able to talk to him any time I needed (or he needed, it’s been a two way helping thing) to see how his day was going, how he was, etc., for such a smaller fee than if I were to phone him via a landline (god forbid a mobile).

So yes, using Time to Call would be a big benefit for me

I will probably use the “Time to Call” app from Vonage on a semi-daily basis, since I currently do not have my own personal phone. It would be great to have a way to call people again, since my only option at current is to use Skype on my PC, or borrow someone else’s phone. Both methods aren’t exactly ideal, so receiving a brand new iPad 2 to use Time to Call would be a life-saver.

This app would be useful for me because I have family in Spain and I can’t keep in touch with them as often as I would like to. With this app I would be able to talk to them on a weekly basis.

I have been stuck with this old Dell Precision laptop that is anything but portable. I am a student and cannot afford to buy another laptop or anything for that matter. As a student I do many essays weekly. This is very hard to do when half the keys are not on the keyboard. Did I mention since I don’t have a battery whenever the charger comes out the computer shuts down. This means I must restart whatever project I happen to be working on at the time. If I won the iPad 2 giveaway this would make my life much easier and relieve me of tons of stress. I would never have to worry about random shut downs because of the amazing battery! I feel like this will make things so much easier, and the technology that has been made available for us is so amazing. Time to call. Great tool for my friends who live in the United States and calling their love ones in Mexico and South America. One of the things that I notice that not only is it a money saver, but it is also a integrated system (with iTunes) and simply a point and click system. A truly integrated system that makes calls, bills appropriately and is available as a free app. Great Job Vonage.

International coverage is important. No monthly add on is great, just pay as you go billed to my itunes account. Vonage’s new free app will allow me to utilize their services on the go. I wanted to take the hipster approach: Ignore Apple and embrace the Android. I have tried but the frustration with my Android is ginormous and neverending. I factory reset, three times. I replaced the hardware. I called it names and let my 14 month old nephew drool in it but alas, the phone is slower than my first gen iBook which incidentally, is the last time I embraced an Apple product. Having an iPad 2 and Time To Call would mean lower monthly phone bills. Calling rates in my country compared to other EU countries are through the roof. I also have family members living in the states. It can be costly being in touch with them through phone calls. They aren’t really tech savy, so VoIP calls are out of the question…

As for “Time to Call” it sounds like a great app, but for me for right now I can’t use it. (Can we even get it in Canada?) I don’t have an internet enabled smart phone as of right now. I would use Time to Call to call one of my friends who is serving in the Air Force overseas in Japan. I can’t afford to call him and I miss him very much.

Time to call is a perfect solution for me and I thank vonage for coming up with it! I currently live in Shinjuku, Tokyo, so finding a carrier that will allow me to call both my family in the USA, and Mexico can be quite hard. My current cellphone plan has limited minutes and when I to try call outside the country, the rate costs me quite a penny! This app solves this issue now however, so I can now use the extra money I save to pay for more frequent home visits.

Well I am not going to lie I really do want to win. And currently I’m using a old iPod (3rd gen that’s falling a part at the seams), and with Time to Call app I use it for all my calls. I have used Vonage in the past and I liked the service. But since then, a few companies have come up that offered services like Vonage at competitive prices making me switch. But, unlike Vonage, those companies have become increasingly unreliable with really bad customer service and are basically not worth it anymore.
