Keeping track of expenses is important for every business. While big corporations have extensive expense tracking software, policies, and procedures  in place, many small businesses get by with a relatively haphazard approach. Mom and Pop shops that rely on inadequate shoebox systems might avoid a bit of work up front, but they delay the inevitable.
