Microfiber Towels

  • No Related Post

As I walked through the living room this afternoon, the sun was shining intensely through the sliding glass door to the deck. There was no hiding the fact that the glass needed to be cleaned. Seeing that I needed a distraction, I set myself to the task, only to realize that we were completely out of paper towels.  I was disappointed for a moment, until I remembered the bundle of microfiber towels I picked up at Auto Zone last week.

I grabbed a brand new microfiber towel and the spray bottle of window cleaner from my car care shelf in the garage and entered a whole new era of thrifty housecleaning. Long story short, I hope I never have to use a paper towel to clean windows again. The microfiber towel worked like a charm … and can be used over and over again.  I was able to clean all four panes of glass with one microfiber towel, by carefully folding and flipping.

Paper towels are so yesterday … for cleaning windows, at least. (They’re nearly irreplacable for cleaning up after pets, if you know what I mean.)

Hi Dan,
I am not sure which brand of microfiber you used…but if you are using a good quality of microfiber…you don’t even need to use the window cleaner!! (Even better for the environment) I use Norwex microfiber dry or with water and it removes 99.9% of bacteria, dirt, greese etc. with just water! This save me a lot of time, money and is a healther option for my family and the environment!!
Check out my website or call if you have any furhter questions.
Have a great day!

Despite using a squeegy followed by a good scrubbing with a cotton towel after every single shower, my glass shower door would accumulate soap scum and water glazing after only a few weeks. Every month or so, out came the chemicals (Greased LIghtning, Windex, etc.) to scrub the scum off. I then switched using a micro fiber towel n place of the cotton one after the squeegy. I haven’t had to clean the glass AT ALL in over six months! That sold me.

Cleaning the windows around the house is now a sinch. After knocking off the dust and dirt layer with a California Duster (I live in the desert), I then use a damp microfiber cloth in one hand to clean the glass and a dry one to dry it. No streaking, no spraying, nothing. The glass is streak-free and spotless and I can do the entire house in thirty minutes…I have a lot windows, too!

Try it. You’ll like it!
