What if an SUV Best Suits Your Needs?

There are some among the anti-SUV crowd that refuse to accept that a great number of folks actually do need the space that can only be found in a SUV or minivan. For those who eschew the minivan, an SUV is the only choice when there’s people and stuff to be hauled.
The trick is to find the best SUV to meet your specific needs. When you take both new and used models into consideration, there’s never been more choices.
Nevertheless, it’s pretty darn tough these days to justify a Hummer H2 over a less conspicuous SUV. (The wheels wont be long before they fall off that beast, whether or not a buyer is found.)
The good news right now is that dealers lots are bursting with unwanted SUVs. While gasoline prices have dropped considerably this fall, SUV prices are mired at bargain basement levels. Dealers are dealing and buyers wield leverage, given the raft of special offers and price reductions.
For those that don’t want to understand, tough luck.
Hauling a carful of kids around is a huge responsibility. It should never be a burden.

I am refusing to give-up my Hummer H3. A lot of people are ignorant when it comes to the H3 and tend to group it with the H1 and H2. I purchased mine with the 5-speed and the 5 cylinder engine and later added a high performance exhaust and intake to achieve 20-22 MPG. Although I live in the city, I use my Hummer to go off-roading, so it is not the typical “mall-candy” and many SUVs become. It has plenty of scapes and lines from brush-rub to prove it is an all-terrain vehicle.
Funny thing is, most of the Prius drivers I work with use 2-3 times more gas than I do since they live up to 100 miles from work. I choose a small home close to work (10 miles) to lower my carbon footprint. Sure, I could still get a more economical car, but I really wouldn’t save all that much.
