When I started in law enforcement in 1970, I had no idea what to
expect. Then in 1971 when I worked for a police department in
western Kansas, we started taking 7 or 8 illegals off the trains daily
and returning them to the USIA.

I talked with the Deputy District Director in Kansas City once and he
told me thats everyone that starts with them or the Border Patrol
spends about 3/4th of their career on the southern border of the
United States and many quit without ever getting the chance to 'bid'
on one of the ones elsewhere like on the Canadian border for
instance.

You may like high tech gadgets and 4x4's but you will probably
spend most of your time trying to stay alive out there, because
whether its with the Feds, the State Police or Highway Patrols, or
the Sheriff's Offices or the local Police Department's, there is a war
going on out there on the street and it's them or us. Nuff Said.
