eBay Swimming in Allegedly Fake Beckham Jerseys

You just have to feel for David Beckham. Posh is going on tour this fall and poor David hasn’t started a single game for the LA Galaxy. He hasn’t even played 17 minutes (in a friendly with Chelsea, where his ankle took another knock). And now, allegedly bootleg LA Galaxy jerseys bearing Becks’ name and number (23) are flooding eBay. Galaxy President and GM Alexi Lalas’ knickers must be in a knot. Where’s the money going to come from to pay that huge salary? Why isn’t eBay doing anything to stem the tide of knockoff Beckham Jerseys?

Fans may gain a cheap jersey (in more ways than one), but Adidas, the Galaxy, and Becks are losing big dollars with every knockoff auction won.

It’s hard for me to have any sympathy for the big corporations crying because not everybody is paying $100 for an official jersey.

Does kind of suck that the quality is bad though, otherwise I might order one.
