There’s nothing quite like waking up to realize that you’re completely out of toilet paper. The feeling of utter fear that runs down your spine ignites a panic like no other. That very unsettled feeling is what turned me onto the idea of buying toilet paper in bulk last winter. Peace of mind settled over Ranchero Indebto when our tower of toilet paper arrived. That carton of bathroom comfort lasted a good four months. But I’ve forgotten to reorder, of course, and we fell into the same horrific cycle of discovery, month after month. When I (finally!) went to place a new order at Amazon today, I found something so fantastic, so wonderful, so marvelously inspired, that I gained a new appreciation for the genius of Jeff Bezos and company…
Now I must have been sleeping, but at some point, Amazon launched a subscription service for household items like, you guessed it… toilet paper. This is crazy mad genius. I’ve dreamed of this day for years. A simple dream, yes… but one that will reduce stress and expenses.
My favorite toilet paper at big discounts (roughly 25% off list), cheaper than the local supermarket… delivered on a predetermined basis, with no charge for shipping.
Toilet paper can now arrive on my doorstep, without lifting a finger or trunk lid. I don’t have to make that late night or early morning emergency run. I don’t have to waste gas. I don’t have to worry.
Order it and it will come.

Many countries do not use toilet paper, but a bidet. There are quite a number of new toilet paper brands coming out that use cotton, or recycled materials. Currently the majority of TP comes from old growth trees. Very sad we are wiping our behinds with ancient trees.

Go with the recycled materials if at all possible. Also, you can do better than Amazon. Just check around.
