So what makes a great Myspace background? A while back, I put a bunch of retro MySpace backgrounds out there just for hoots. I’ll do a bunch more when I have the chance. I’ve been trying to figure out what folks are looking for … which begs the question: what are the most popular Myspace backgrounds? It’s no surprise that free myspace backgrounds would be in extremely high demand, but I wanted to get more specific. I did a little more digging and here’s what I found …
Discounting the holiday myspace backgrounds, the most popular requests include:
- Cool backgrounds (well, duh!)
- Music backgrounds
- Sports backgrounds
- Car backgrounds
- Cute backgrounds (aw, shucks)
- Animated backgrounds
- Emo backgrounds
- Sexy backgrounds
- Love backgrounds
- Girly backgrounds
- Anime backgrounds
- Skull backgrounds
- Hot backgrounds
- Skateboarding backgrounds
- Scarface backgrounds
- Fairy backgrounds, and
- Tinkerbell backgrounds
Truth be told, I don’t even have a Myspace page. I just like to create seamless background tiles. If people get some use out of them, that’s cool. Maybe I can work up something cool where an emo Tony Montana meets a sexy girly anime Tinkerbell, they go for a drive in a hot sports car (with the music blaring) to the skateboard park where they fall in love.
What’s that? Deadline’s in fifteen minutes? No sweat!

Still not worth it, no GPS.
My phone has a GPS. I have no need for a second GPS device at this point.
I am stationed in Germany with the U.S. Military; B&N doesn’t allow me to DL books from them to my nook but the Kindle app does allow me to DL books. Now I can use my nook to DL books directly to my nook, they just come from Amazon. Great DIY article, THANKS!!!
Disregard this comment.
After successfully completing the process above I arrived at the same place. I then
successfully installed a couple of aps. Radar Weather was one of the aps.
However … the first time I ran Radar Weather if performed perfectly. Every
successive time I ran it I got a notice saying that location services needed
to be turned on. I checked and noted that I was indeed connected to my
network, so that should have been enough, but I was never able to get that
or any other ap requiring location services to run.
I searched on the net, and found that this is indeed a problem (the note
listed unable to enable location services as a “signature” problem.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a solution for this problem?
NOOK-CWM3028-imgfiles.zip doesn’t look like it’s in the XDA thread anymore, unless it’s named something different and I don’t understand it.
were can I get the files needed to do this
This seems simple, however I can’t get my card to work. I have a mac. Do I put the manualnooter file on the CM7 disk or the boot disk (2 partitions of SD card?) Do I have to rename the image files? If so, you can’t replace them in the zip file without opening (thus unpacking) the zip file). Where do I put the image files? Lastly, do I need the “nightly” that the dev site talks about? Thanks
Great instructions, many thanks
please someone help!
i am no techie and i’m a chick.
wanted to try this out
which 7zip file should i dl? 32-bit x86 or the 64-bit x64?
which image writer binary or the source?
Doesnt matter on the 7zip, and DL Binary for the image writer.
I love you man. I wish I had seen yer video before I rooted my sweetheart wife’s Nook. OK, it’s all good & she’s got her Angry Birds and I’m a hacker deluxe.
So I downloaded it all and now it’s stalled on the opening “nook color” writing across the screen when your reboot. Anything to fix that?
So do you use Win32 Disk Imager on manualnooter? Or just CWM? It says to copy, I don’t know if that means to make it an image on the MicroSD.
my nook is stuck in loading? i can’t get to the install from zip thing
Thank you for sharing the instructions for rooting a Nook Color.
I had my NC (v1.2.0 blue dot) rooted by following your instructions. Some of you might have fared better but yesterday after updating to v1.3.0, I lost connection to two of the five programs/icons on the home screen (if you can call it that). Also, I could not connect to the Android Market. So I had to reset (by doing the 8 Ns) and revert to stock v1.2, updated to v1.3 and rooted (again) using the method above.
It works fine now.
Thank you! I also lost my root access after the automatic 1.3 update. Thanks to your instructions, I have access to Android Market again!
I just did this, however, gmail does not sync, and there is no “accounts and sync” location to set it up. What did I miss? Everything looks good so far.
Has anyone done this and gained access to the Amazon App Store? I can’t find the option to allow third party apps.
just rooted. it works. but the market doesn’t work well. when i tap on an app it just goes back to the home or back to the previous page. Help??
Can Anybody help me? When I start the nook with SD card, it gets stuck on the Crossbones Loading screen. Help Please anybody! What do I do?
I rooted the nook according to your instructions, but whenever I touch an app, it returns to the home market scree. Any recommendations?
