High School Diploma

  • No Related Post

A high school diploma is one of life’s most important documents. Lack that all important diploma and there’s no end to the doors that will be closed. Studying for the General Educational Development (GED) exam used to be the primary route for folks who sought an equivalency certificate. Enter the Internet age and say hello to the many institutions that offer high school diplomas. Need it fast? How does $249 and 7 days sound?

Belford High School boasts that it can sell you a high school diploma “without taking admission” and “without any hassle of attending classes.” If your time is tighter than your wallet, these folks will send you that diploma “without studying long hours for tough exams.”

I’m not going to mention this to my kids.

If they find out that they can get a high school diploma for the cost of a new 8GB iPod nano, they’ll revolt faster than you can say “fries with that?”

Please don’t get me wrong.

Passing the GED exam is a wonderful thing. I’m all for taking an alternate route on the great highway of life.

Legitimate online degree programs can make a lot of sense. But the idea of merely trading cash for a high school diploma? That’s just a bit scary.

How do I pay for this high school diploma? This sounds better than wasting my time

Hello, I’am a graudate of bel ford’s online deal and i’am proud of myself for passing the test I droped out in the 9th grade to become a carpenter and ended up a superintendent for a major buliding company this diploma is for me to know that I could do it and I did passing all subject with better than a 90%

Belford High School and, for that matter, their college programs are fake. They are the worst sort of “school” precisely because they look so real. The problem is that they are completely unaccredited, either regionally or nationally, by anyone that matters. That is not the worst part. The worst part is that they make people believe that the piece of paper is worth something.

It is not possible to do what Belford advertises. There are no legitimate programs that do this. And, importantly, sooner or later, someone will figure out that you really didn’t earn a high school diploma.

I was looking into buying a diploma from belford myself until I did some digging…Belford is a complete LIE! If anyone out there is considering going this route you should go ask your local college what they think of Belford before you go any further. I had an admission office from sms college take the time to sit down with me and show me PROOF that online degrees such as “belford” are in no way legitimate. Sure they can give you an ONLINE diploma but thats as far as it goes…online… unless you yourself are tricking whom ever you presented it to. As for the person that is proud of themself for passing the test…please… dont kid yourself you and I both know that you can retake the SAME test in the SAME order as many times as you like…I’m sorry but it is a joke and I feel for those who have been suckered into this and I do hope that you can get your money back or some kind of compensation for that matter. Respectively Mr. Doe

I found this….Belford is a diploma mill.

I dropped out of high school after finishing 11th grade. That summer I found out I was pregnant. At the age of 18, I was dumb and stupid. I wanted to take the easy way out so I got online and found Belford High School High School Diplomas for $250 dollars. I took the test and came out with a grade average of 3.19. I took the diploma to my principal and he says its the real thing. Ive never had any trouble out of mine! And hope I never do. lol

Well. Now I’m very confused…I’ve paid $278..00 for a high school diploma (Belford) and I’m still waiting for mail with my diploma……After reading all posts around the internet I’ve find 64 messages from happy people that they did bought that from Belford and they continue they educations at higher level..But also I’ve find around 30 messages from people who are claim that they got screwed up with a worthless pieces of paper…What should I do now..I’d like to apply for college but with a fake diploma it will be a very big shame for me .
Any answer will be very appreciated

I’m with the girl above. I want to know if they pass for a high school diploma or not. I’m not stupid I knew it was fake. But my collage says that the online programs, even If they are fake nobodys going to question it and most people don’t even ask for proof anyway. So PLEASE tell me does this pass or not?

I work for the University of Phoenix Admissions Department, on the Axia side. Axia is notorious for admitting just about anyone….EXCEPT Belford graduates. I’m sure there are other schools that do the same thing Belford does, but it seems Belford is the most notorious, as they are used in Admissions training as a classic example of the “diploma mill”.

I’ve had to deny two students their college education so far because they listed Belford as their High School; one of them was today, which is why I was inspired to come here and post this warning.

I would say that if you were able to gain entrance to college using a Belford degree, you may want to check out the college you are going to….the credits you are earning there may end up being just as fraudulent as your Belford degree.

I would recommend that you get a GED as those are 100% better than your fake HS Diploma. A GED will get you into an Associates program at a decent school, no sweat.

Is Belford High School a good way of getting your high School Diploma?
Somebody answer my question?

so i see everyone knocking the BELFORD school and calling it a fraud to discourage people who clearly want to earn a GED.

Not one of you have posted a single website of an actual accredited GED program to help anyone.

Ive been searching for a program for my girlfriend who wants to have that GED.

does anyone actually have anything constructive to add to this post to actually help?
im all ears.

I’m currently getting my HS Diploma online from Penn Foster.Their website claims that they are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools and by the the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).I’ve paid about $800 for books to be delivered to my home and I also had my HS transcripts sent in for more credits. Its kinda like homeschooling I guess. It looks pretty legit to me.If anyone knows other wise please let me know. Can I get into a good college with this type of Diploma?

I LOOKED UP ALL THE ONLINE SCHOOLS THAT SAY THEIR ACCREDICTED BUT THEY ARE NOT. IN THE PASSAGE LISTED BELOW THEY WILL GIVE YOU A LIST OF ALL THE UNRECONIZED ACCREDICTORS BY THE (USDE) THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION…

This is a list of entities that have been identified as accreditors of higher education institutions, but that lack necessary legal authority or government recognition to provide such educational accreditation.

Rules for educational accreditation vary from country to country. In most countries, the function of accreditation for educational institutions is conducted by a government ministry of education. In the United States educational accreditation is performed by private nonprofit membership associations. In the United States, accredited institutions of higher education must be accredited by agencies recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Often a school claiming accreditation from an unrecognized accreditor will not be viewed as legitimate in the academic community.[1] Institutional accreditation is required for institutions to receive U.S. government funds. Also, students who attend institutions of higher education that are accredited through accreditation associations not recognized by the USDE or CHEA do not qualify for U.S. government financial aid.[2] Recognized accreditors in the United States are listed in databases maintained by the USDE [3] and CHEA [4]

The following is a partial list of unrecognized accreditation associations of higher learning, as identified by the organizations themselves, government authorities in their respective countries, or other independent authorities. Also included are some religious accreditors, whose accreditation may have doctrinal significance but lacks recognized academic value,[5] and organizations that do not offer educational accreditation but have been misidentified as accreditors by organizations that offer educational services.

I’ve heard Belford High School has been getting a lot of complaints. My friend signed up for the online school. He got through the payment plan, and got his diploma. He only had problems from the normal high schools on this so-called “SCAM!”. The google search engine, and others said all this. He said he got Belford High School’s counselor to talk to the normal high school peoples, and he has not had a problem since. And i want to know some legal, or illegal information, and not the complaints of the payment plan.

P.S. Do college’s accept the students of Belford High School? I don’t want to debate about this stuff . I’m just wondering, aside the payment. Is it Legal, or Illegal? It sounds suspicious….. no doubt. This site seems the only one that makes sense of things.

Thank you for listening.
PEACE
